The following systems and functionality will be affected during our planned monthly maintenance: logging into and placing orders on MetaStock.com, access to the MetaStock Community Forum, and access to adaptick.net (the ICE add-on interface). Q. What does this mean for me as a current DataLink Subscriber?

To be sure, this is more than just a name change. Your current DataLink Market data is only updated per day AFTER the market close.

The NEW MetaStock XENITH Daily Charts Data is continuous delayed market data. Meaning that it updates continuously but is delayed by about 20 minutes. *

This benefits you in the following ways:

You can now watch your charts during the day.
Your charts are continuously updated throughout the trading period.
You are now able to scan and test data for the current day.

Also, as part of a recent upgrade, MetaStock XENITH for Daily Charts Data includes all regions - it's a truly global solution.

Finally, MetaStock XENITH for Daily Charts is powered by Refinitiv a world leader in comprehensive, reliable, and accurate market data.

Q. Is there any additional cost to subscribe to this new data?

There is no additional cost to subscribe to MetaStock XENITH for Daily Charts for current DataLink Subscribers.*

Q. Do I need to do anything to begin using the new data?

A few steps must be taken to receive MetaStock XENITH for Daily Charts data for current DataLink Subscribers. *

Go to MetaStock.com, log in to your account, and navigate to the "My Downloads" page.
Complete the required online agreements.
Download the new version of MetaStock (Note that the download version will be the same as your current version unless you own v15 or earlier. In the case that you own version 15 or a previous version you will automatically be migrated to version 16. This version has been added to your account.).
Wait 1 hour.
Install the new version you downloaded by double-clicking on the file.

Q. When must I update my version of MetaStock?

To ensure no loss of service, you should update as soon as possible and no later than January 15, 2025.

Q. What can I do if I have issues or concerns about MetaStock XENITH for Daily Charts and the installation process?

Q. What will my data look like in MetaStock?

With MetaStock D/C powered by MetaStock XENITH for Daily Charts, you will see the same Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Data. However, based on exchange rules, this data will be updated on a delayed basis.

Q. How will the DownLoader work?

We are currently working on launching the updated DownLoader. When finished, The DownLoader is designed to use MetaStock XENITH for Daily Charts in the same way you are used to. It will download the end-of-day data after market close, but it will be more timely. When the updated DownLoader is ready, we will send a separate communication.

We are in the process of implementing a new back-end data feed for Datalink, aimed at enhancing data delivery and timeliness. During this transition, there may be brief disruptions in data availability and timing.

Starting on January 5th, 2025, access to mutual fund data and over 6,000 NASDAQ indices will be unavailable. A list of the affected indices can be downloaded below.

On or around January 15th, 2025, access to Cash Commodities will be unavailable, and there will be delayed delivery for some Futures and Commodities data.

Please note that this is a temporary issue. As we complete the transition to the new feed, all affected data will be restored with improved delivery.

In other words, all DataLink subscribers will receive the complete global data package, regardless of their current regional subscription. You now have streamlined access to the essential information you need when you need it.

You don't need to do anything to access this new data; we have already enabled it in your account so you can use it right now.

For those with multiple subscriptions, we will seamlessly transition you to the new package at your next renewal date without requiring any action from your end.

Effective Thursday, November 14, 2024, the new pricing for our packages will be as follows for existing subscribers (active subscribers prior to Oct 14th, 2024), new subscribers will automatically get the new package pricing:

Global EOD Data for MetaStock: $39.95 per month or $429.95 per year
Global EOD Data and MetaStock Combo Subscription: $74.95 per month or $809.95 per year

Depending on your current subscription you may notice a price increase as we transition you to a global package. It's important to note that the price of Datalink has only changed once in the last 20 years.

As our costs have risen steadily over the years, we have worked hard to keep our prices steady for our customers. By streamlining DataLink, we can continue to keep our prices low and deliver clean, accurate, on-demand market data while we invest in future product improvements to serve you better.

In the near future, we will make more exciting improvements to our data, which we will tell you about as soon as possible.
